POST 6: EMOTIONAL REGULATION

It is hard to stay emotionally regulated when your hormones are all over the place! The struggle is real! If you are feeling great and glowing with your pregnancy, stick with us anyway as there will be someone in your life who needs help from a friend as they are not feeling as great and have lost their ability to glow, and you can offer them a lifeline and get to feel even better in helping someone else. Win-win! 

If you need to let go of past hurts in order to move forward with a new beginning, try diffusing one or two drops of Forgiveness EO or applying topically to help release the past. Continue to do so daily until you feel the benefits. As we don’t want trauma to interfere in your relationship with your little one, also consider the benefits of seeking therapy and seeing an Accelerated Resolution Therapy provider. It quickly resolves traumatic memory so that you don’t carry that into your future and into your parenting. In addition to Forgiveness, you can also diffuse one or two drops of Present Time EO to help you stay mindful and focused on the here and now (yesterday is over, tomorrow is yet to come, but today is the present and it is your gift to do with what you will). With either blend you can add Surrender EO, one to two drops, to support the release of negative emotions. Two of my favorite blends in working with trauma and emotional regulation is Peace and Calming or Stress Away blends. Mix either (or both) with a carrier oil and apply to the pulse points on your wrists, around your ears and on your neck.
