Essential Oils for Maternity and Pregnancy–A Beautiful Adventure

POST 4: MORNING SICKNESS/NAUSEA/HEARTBURN

If “kill me now” is a recurrent thought for a good portion of your day (I had 3 high risk pregnancies and the toilet and floor were my steady companions) and you would do anything to feel better, you are in the right place! If you are carrying a hairy kid (my first had a full head of black hair at birth) and experiencing heartburn (daily and every night between midnight and 2am because who needs sleep while working full time and pregnant? Not me…) then one drop of DiGize under the tongue and 3-4 drops in a carrier oil, massaged in and around the belly button, and a drop of Copaiba on the chest, may be your new best friend. And why stop at one best friend when you can have other BFF’s when you need them! If you have nausea/morning sickness then DiGize is still your BFF (dab a little behind the ears to alleviate morning sickness!!) but when you need to fight dirty to win, use a few drops of Thieves Oil on the bottoms of your feet and inhale (seriously, nobody will judge you).  Spearmint, Ginger and Pachouli (one drop each) inhaled or rubbed on your belly are also good for morning sickness. Your diet is critical to how you feel in pregnancy and to the health of your little one, so put down the soda/pop/coke and add in a couple of drops of lemon, orange or tangerine essential oils in a glass bottle (plastics are no bueno with oils) filled with clean water and sip all day.  Since generating another human being takes energy (that thing that you used to have but is now like an endless mission for finding Waldo) you may need to kick it up a notch and imbibe some NingXia Red, 1-2 oz, first thing in the morning and apply one drop of En-R-Gee on the bottom of your feet (I need it far away from my face because while it does work well, I don’t love the smell even though others do) and get your groove back on! https://artfullyrestored.com/
