Essential Oils for Maternity and Pregnancy–A Beautiful Adventure

POST 11: NEW MOMMY AND INFANT CARE TIPS

You had me at hello! Bringing that bundle of joy home is like an amazing, terrifying, roller coaster ride. No worries, you’ll have lots of “experts” telling you what to do (quick! check their FB and social media pages to see if what they told you was really a what not to do after getting an insider viewing).  #OilNerdsLoveResearch

If you are going to nurse your baby then you’ll want the scoop on preventing and rescuing sore nipples! These grand tetons will be in high demand–all the more reason to treat them to some TLC! Mix rose oil with sweet almond oil and apply after nursing so that you have a chance to let it soak in and heal between feedings. Remember to wipe clean before nursing again. If the words “dry” and “cracked” hold little appeal for you, I assure you they do even less for the little one trying to nurse from those less than grand tetons. Remember, in pregnancy and parenting you cannot have too many BFF’s! Your BFF Nursing Ointment blend: Geranium (4 drops); St. Maries Lavender (2 drops); Myrrh (2 drops) and Gentle Baby (2 drops) mixed with Young Living’s V-6 carrier oil or sweet almond oil. Apply immediately after nursing and wipe clean before the next feeding and keep doing this until you are soft and supple again!
