Essential Oils for Maternity and Pregnancy–A Beautiful Adventure

POST 11, PART 2: If you aren’t nursing the baby then you are bathing the baby–they are messy, adorable beings that are at their best when the smell good. (We will get to the bottom of things just a little later) Make sure you are only using non toxic, chemical free, products on your baby whenever possible. For bathtime use KidScents Bath Gel and follow the instructions on the bottle.

I promised to get to the bottom of things, so let’s discuss  the dirty little secrets nobody wants to discuss: diaper rash. Babies eat and poop and pee and sometimes you can get them to sleep so you can attend to the thousands of things you can’t do when your hands are full. What you eat and drink can impact what is coming out of your baby and sometimes babies appear to pee acid that makes their little bottoms raw. YL Seedling Baby Wipes are non toxic and have no chemicals added. They are safe and gentle on your baby. I use them as dryer sheets and add a drop of my favorite essential oil (Thieves) and they prevent static cling and the laundry smells great–and I avoid the 800 toxic chemicals that are in traditional dryer sheets that transfer to me and my loved ones. To prevent diaper rash and also to heal it fast, use KidScents Tender Tush ointment on their bottom, covering all their little parts to protect them. You can also use Gentle Baby diluted 1:30 with YL V-6 oil or almond oil and apply topically. Sometimes you just have to tame the savage beast by using Animal Scents Ointment and apply liberally.
