Mission: Fit App is a free mental health app with supportive information, resources, tools, and services as well as a built in community. I developed the app so that everyone could have access to free help. In the US alone we have approximately 28 million uninsured who have limited or no access to mental health supports.
If you are living with stress (hello everyone!), mental or physical health conditions, its essential to remember that your energy is finite. Battery Life Theory is an approach that helps us understand the value of our energy and to prioritize our wellbeing. You start your day wiht a certain amount of battery life (often with chronic conditions or flare ups your battery life can start the day at 30-80%) and each task performed requires a certain amount of your battery charge. Certain conditions drain the battery faster as your battery has multiple systems operating off of it. Once the battery is depleted, the battery has no more usable charge and doesn’t get recharged until the next day after getting restorative sleep. By quantifying the energy needed for each task (amount of battery life needed for each task), you can better manage your daily routine, prioritize what you choose to tackle each day, and rest when needed. This helps reduce feelings of guilt or shame associated with chronic physical or mental health conditions and provides a way to manage them effectively.
We hope Mission: Fit app and the Warrior Wellness community will help support your healing journey and help you manage your energy more effectively.
Mission: Fit app can be found in the Apple App Store and Google Play Stores.
